The ‘Nepal-America International Film Festival-2022’, which is being organized every year in the state of Maryland, USA, will be held from 23rd to 26th June. 38 films from 12 countries of the world including Nepal and USA are being screened in the festival which will be held through physical and online (virtual) method.

Apart from physical exhibitions, movies can be viewed on smart phones, iPads, computers, laptops and smart televisions through the Event app during the festival. As in previous years, two films will be screened in collaboration with the Global Peace Film Festival and DMV (D, Maryland, and Virginia) will be screened close to encourage local filmmakers.

A discussion program will also be organized with the audience and filmmakers-directors and actors about the screened films. The festival will also feature a ‘virtual’ dialogue with director Avinash Vikram Shah and actress Suraksha Pant, who arrived at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. The best films selected for the competition will also be awarded.

A seven-member jury has been announced for the festival. Among them are Anup Subedi from Nepal, Rebecca Bismante from USA, Nina Strich, Bhavani Rao, Debra Johnson, Farid Bojormeyer and Porcia Cobb.
