Monday is a public holiday

It has been decided to make Monday (tomorrow) a public holiday in Far West.

A public holiday has been given on the occasion of Khakhadehra, the main festival of the Ranatharu community in Far West. Sushil Vaidya, secretary of Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, Far West said that Chait 19 is a holiday for Khakhadehra festival.

According to him, tomorrow will be a holiday across the state. It is customary to celebrate Khakhadehra as the last day of Hori, the biggest festival of Ranatharu community. Khakhadehra is celebrated by the Ranatharu community on the concluding day of the month-long Hori festival.
