SEE Starting today, GPAs and grades are separated according to the new guidelines

According to the new guidelines, this is how grades and GPA are separated According to the Letter Grading Guide, 2078, eight Graded Points (GPA) and Air Grade (Letter Grade) have been allocated based on the student’s score percentage.

Subject-wise, the separate marks obtained for theoretical and internal will be converted into letter grades. Out of which 4.0 GPA will be given to those who get 90 percent and above in both theory and internal. A student with a 4.0 GPA will be graded as an ‘A Plus’, considered the highest achievement.

Similarly, those who score 80 to 90 percent will have GPA of 3.6 and grade ‘A’ while those who score 70 to 80 percent will be given 3.2 GPA, their grade will be ‘B Plus’. Similarly, GPA of 2.8 and Grade ‘B’ for those scoring 60 to 70, GPA of 2.4 and Grade ‘C Plus’ for those scoring 50 to 60, GPA of 2.0 and Grade ‘C’ for those scoring 40 to 50, 35 and above GPA of 1.6 and grade ‘D’ will be maintained for those who score up to 40. Theoretically, those who get less than 35 percent marks will not be assigned a grade, i.e., in the category of grade, ‘non graded’ and the category of GPA will be kept blank.

Students will not get the original certificate unless they get a grade of “C” in internal and “D” in theory in each subject. It is not possible to study higher education without obtaining the original certificate. According to Bhakta Godar, Deputy Controller of Examinations of the National Examination Board, the students who have received ‘non-graded’ results will be allowed to take the immediate grade increase examination up to three times in two subjects.

According to him, students who have not been graded in more than two subjects or who could not get the minimum grade even in the immediate grade increase examination will be allowed to take the exam in all subjects in the SEE to be held next year. If the student fails to appear in the theoretical examination, his internal and practical marks will be retained for three years.
