Going abroad on a visit visa? This is the new rule

A new rule has been implemented from today (Wednesday) for Nepalis going abroad on a visit visa. The Department of Immigration has issued a new travel advisory for visiting visa management. 6 new rules have been introduced in the advisory.

Here is the new rule:

According to the Immigration Viva, the new rules have been introduced because it has been found that Nepalis traveling on visit or tourist visas submit fake documents, prepare false details, and visit other countries claiming to be the destination of one country as opposed to the destination of the visa.

Lately, it was found that some Nepalis are reaching conflict-affected countries on visit visas and joining the army there.

Now, to go abroad on a visit visa, a passport with a validity period of at least 6 months is required. Along with the visa of the destination country, two-way air tickets and hotel bookings are also required.
