Paras Khadka was elected Secretary of CAN, Malla was defeated

Paras Khadka, the former captain of the national cricket team, has been elected as the secretary of the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN).

Paras won today’s elections in Kathmandu by defeating Prasantavikram Malla. In today’s election, out of a total of 84 voters, only 84 votes were cast. 43 votes were needed to win. As the votes could not be counted, Khadka got 43 votes. Chatur Bahadur Chand was elected unopposed as the president of CAN.

He was unanimously elected as the president after no candidate was nominated against Chand. He was elected as the president for the third time. Chand became unopposed after another candidate for the president, Vinayraj Bhandari, withdrew his candidacy.

Similarly, Roshan Singh, treasurer Padam Khadka and female member Jayanti Bhatt have also been elected unopposed. Can the new working committee will be made up of 17 members.
