Apple Watch can now answer and end calls with just two fingers

Apple has provided a feature in Watch Ultra Two and Watch Series Nine that allows you to pick up and hang up the phone with just two fingers.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, Tim Cook, posted a video on X on Thursday and informed that the feature has been made available.

For this, the user must have installed Watch OS 10.1 update on that smartwatch. The user can use this feature to pick up and hang up the phone as well as perform various other tasks. Using this feature discussed as ‘Magic, at your finger tips’, users can also turn off alarms and reminders.

Apart from that, if the watch is connected to the iPhone, the user can take a photo by connecting two fingers to take a photo. To turn the timer on and off, two fingers will be connected to each other. In addition, if the watch is connected to a smart TV, the user will have to connect the two fingers of the hand wearing the watch twice to pause the video playback on the TV.

Even with two fingers, the user has to connect the old finger and the thieving finger twice in a row.

Last September 12, while releasing the iPhone lineup, Apple Watch Ultra Two and Watch Series Nine, the company announced a feature that can be used to control the smartwatch with the help of two fingers.

Although Watch OS 10.1 is available for smartwatches later than Apple Watch Series Four, the double tap feature is available only in the last two models of smartwatches, the company said.

In order to control the iPhone from the smartwatch using the double tap feature, iOS 17 must be available on the iPhone. Users can disable this feature by going to settings.
